Welcome to Women of the Chapel
The Women of the Chapel ministry comprises all women who attend The Village Chapel. Annual events and special events are organized by a dedicated Steering Committee who meet monthly* and oversee a variety of sub-committees – all dedicated to furthering our mission statement… for women to drawer closer to God and foster spiritual growth. We encourage you to bring friends, neighbors and guests to join in our journey of
faith and fellowship for all interests and ages in keeping with tradition of WOC and honoring our mission statement through fellowship and supporting one another. The goal is for the women of our beloved church family to always know they are an important part our women of the chapel and welcome to participate in whatever capacity comfortable.

To teach & encourage women to draw closer to God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We offer programs, outreach opportunities and fellowship that fosters spiritual growth.

Steering Committee will not meet in June or July. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, August 11, at 9:30 a.m. in the Conference Room.
August Cross Ties Luncheon
August Cross Ties Luncheon will be on Tuesday, August 11, at 11:45 a.m. at The Pine Crest Inn. The cost for lunch is $25. For details text Rene White at (910) 315-1799 or call Christy Forrest at (910) 695-1957. AND – women with a birthday the month they attend will get a free lunch!
Women’s Health Education Event
The next WOC Health Education Event will be on Saturday, September 12, from 9:30 a.m to 12 p.m. Speakers will address Lifestyle Medicine and Eye Health. Find out how nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress management can positively impact your wellness and vision. Book Club

Billy Graham Library Tour
Join us on Wednesday, September 16, for a one-day trip to the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte for the Journey of Faith tour. Registration is required, and you can reserve your spot by contacting Christy Forrest at (910) 695-1957.
Jennifer Rothschild Retreat
We have another opportunity to attend Jennifer Rothschild’s Hope of Heaven tour. It’s on Sunday, October 18, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in Monroe, NC. Tickets range from $32 to $70 and sell out quickly. Please contact Wendy Schreiber if you would like to attend.
Daughters of the American Revolution Presentation
Mark your calendars! As we continue to celebrate our Nation’s 250th anniversary, please join us at the October Cross Ties Luncheon for a Daughters of the American Revolution presentation by Harriett Riley. The luncheon and presentation will be held at the Pine Crest Inn on Tuesday, October 13, at 11:45 a.m. The cost is $25.
