Nursery Worker Needed

We are seeking a reliable and caring individual to serve as a paid Nursery Worker during the Sunday worship services at 9:30am and 11:00am. This important role is perfect for someone who has a genuine love for children and views caring for them as a meaningful ministry. The ideal candidate will provide a safe, nurturing and welcoming environment for our youngest members. A background check is required. Services and Sunday School

The Family Service
Sundays 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.

The Village Chapel Family Service, at 9:30 a.m. Sundays, includes Pastor Vickie Smith’s childrens’ sermon. Children are invited to gather on the Chancel steps to hear scripture-based stories, answer questions, share their thoughts, read from the Bible and close in prayer.

Hearing children lead the congregation in prayer always is a moving experience for their parents and fellow worshippers.

Sunday School For Children & Youth 9:45

Nursery to grade 12. Our Children’s and Youth Sunday School ministry begins in our 9:30 a.m. service then releases to small group bible studies and activities.

Children's Choir: Sundays During Fall and Spring Semesters

Children ages Kindergarten to 5th Grade participate in our weekly Children’s Choir led by Deb Holden. The Children perform at multiple services throughout the year as well as in the community.

Youth Group Ministry

Sunday Evenings

Our grades 6-12 youth meet Sunday afternoons 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. (except the first Sunday of every month) in Heritage Hall.

Rev. Vickie Smith leads our Chapel’s youth in Biblical studies, discipleship, followed by hang-out time and dinner.

Upcoming Activities and Events

Confirmation Class

Confirmation is a process of discovery, formation, and growth in the Christian faith. Together, we will explore the gospel and salvation; the Apostles’ Creed; prayer and the Lord’s Prayer; the Ten Commandments; justification and sanctification; the seven sacraments; and the Christian life. We will also learn more about The Village Chapel—its history, statement of faith, three worship services, and the rich symbolism found throughout the Sanctuary.
Confirmation Classes at TVC are traditionally designed for students in grades 6-12; parents and other interested adults are warmly invited to participate. Classes will meet from 3:00-4:30 p.m. in Heritage Hall on September 13, 20, and 27, and October 11, and 18. October 25 will serve as a make-up day, with Confirmation Sunday taking place on November 8. Register on Realm

American Heritage Girls & Trail Life USA

meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month at 5:45 p.m. in Heritage Hall. Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, August 26. There are many opportunities to get involved or be an assistant with minimal time required. For more information, please Email Pastor Vickie
