Adult Christian Education
The Village Chapel offers several opportunities for ongoing Adult Christian Education.
Strengthen your faith journeys with adult Christian learning and fellowship classes and bible studies. Congregation members are provided many options to further their Christian education. Groups meet at the nearby Care Cottage, Chapel Hall, Heritage Hall and members’ homes.

Seminary Lecture Series
Join Pastor Ashley as we explore the History of Christianity. The class begins with a 30-minute video lecture by Professor Luke Timothy Johnson, Ph.D., followed by a 30-minute discussion of the subject matter. The class will meet on the third Wednesday of each month from 4:30-5:30 p.m. The next lecture is Wednesday, February 19, at the Care Cottage, and is entitled: “The Emergence of Patriarchal Centers” There is no cost or registration required and all are welcome!
Practicing the Way (of Jesus)
an on-ramp to spiritual formation that explores what it means to follow Jesus, not just in what we believe, but in how we live. It helps us learn the practices and rhythms of Jesus that create space for the Holy Spirit to transform us into people of depth and love. Join us on Tuesday, January 21 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. at the Care Cottage.

Bill Wetmore’s Sunday Bible Study continues this Sunday
The Al Mangum 10:45 Adult Sunday School Class
Join us every Sunday, 10:45 a.m. at the Care Cottage for Sunday School. We begin each class with prayer, followed by a video series, and then discussion lead by various members of The Village Chapel. Revelation in a Year
On the first Wednesday of each month, Greg Wetzelberger will lead the “Revelation in a Year” class. Join us for the next class on February 5 in Heritage Hall at 4:30 p.m.
Defending Your Faith
Pastor Trey and Ken Dickson lead a class on how to defend your Christian faith in a rapidly changing world. This course is designed to help you discuss your faith with friends and family, and how to defend it against common objections. The Community Men’s Bible Study
Thursday Bradshaw Bible Study
Join us at the start of this new year with a study of the first book of the New Testament: the Gospel of Matthew. With the guidance of Charles Swindoll’s book, Insights on Matthew 1-15 (on Amazon), we will explore the announcement, arrival, proclamation and reception of the King, Messiah and Immanuel – Jesus Christ.
