Please join us in praying for God’s guidance as you discern if He is calling you to serve on the upcoming Kairos SCI Ministry Inside Team.
From our past experiences, we know that the Holy Spirit beautifully guides, directs, and moves as residents, prison staff, and volunteers are exposed to Christ’s unconditional love. You will quickly see that the fields are truly plentiful, but the harvesters are few. Your interaction with individuals who are paying dearly for past mistakes can make a profound, life-changing impact on their hearts and spiritual journeys.
Whether you feel called to go inside the facility or support the ministry from home, there is a vital place for you:
· The Inside Team: Serve directly inside the institution during the weekend ministry. For your convenience, lodging is available at Camp Monroe on Thursday and Friday nights, so you don’t have to worry about commutes. Carpools will also be arranged.
· The Support Team: We need volunteers to help provide meals and other essential items required for the talks, discussions, prayer groups, and chapel activities.
· Sunday School Participation: Our Adult and Youth Sunday School classes will have the wonderful opportunity to create and provide tangible signs of AGAPE love—such as prayer chains, posters, meal placemats, and financial donations for meals—which the participants read and deeply appreciate.
Preparation is key to a meaningful weekend. Our team training schedule includes:
· Weekend Ministry Dates: October 15–18, 2026
· Location: Scotland Correctional Institution, Laurinburg, NC
· First Training Day: Saturday, August 29th (Followed by several Tuesday and Thursday evenings and one additional Saturday training session to ensure everyone is fully prepared and confident).
